•Felony Marijuana Growing and Sales Case Dismissed
Woman with medical marijuana card for a serious illness arrested for growing over 300 plants for herself and a medical marijuana dispensary. Client was charged with two felony counts: cultivation and sales of marijuana. Client faced three years of custody time, felony probation, and loss of her right to use her medication.

Case Conclusion: Both felony counts were dismissed. Client pled to one misdemeanor possession charge because she was growing beyond the legal limit. No custody time was imposed and the client paid a fine of $200.00. She retained the right to grow and use her medication.

•Felony Drug Case Dismissed
Hispanic father of four in his 40s was pulled over in Salinas and illegally searched by the Salinas Police. He was charged with felony transportation of methamphetamine and faced up to 5 years in custody.

After reviewing the arrest circumstances, we argued before the Judge that the pat-down search of our client was unconstitutional on the basis of racial profiling. The judge ruled the search was illegal and the evidence was thrown out and the case dismissed.
